It is palm trees - this is a picture of "downtown" Huntington Beach (from Hurricane's Bar and Grill ((there seems to be a subtext of "Bars" in too many of my posts!))) D8
It was actually somewhat cold - but not by Canadian standards by any means... But do you get to see the Northern Lights? I loved to see that once or twice in my life.
